JONNY LOW

Producer Director | Camera | Edit

I’m a dedicated self-shooting documentary Producer/Director specialising in observational films for both linear TV and streamers. I’m a passionate storyteller with a knack for gaining and maintaining difficult access and covering sensitive topics.

I series directed on Hometown: A Killing, which was nominated for Best Documentary Series at both the Grierson and RTS awards and won Best Documentary Presenter for Mobeen Azhar at both ceremonies. The daily mail described it as “….truly shocking, a chilling indictment of how drugs crime has unleashed casual violence on ordinary streets across Britain”. I returned to direct Mobeen again in Santa Clause: The Serial Killer.

I have directed 2 series of the hugely successful The Met: Policing London for BBC1, the latest series which garnered over 17million viewer hours in total, placing it in the top 15 BBC One titles of 2023 and the 5th biggest BBC One factual viewing from iPlayer that year.

In 2023 I directed my first SVOD retrospective The Lady Of The Lake as part of Paramount+ series Hauntings.

Other notable credits include 24 Hours In A&E as both gallery director and edit producer and 2 series of An Hour To Save your Life following the lifesaving work of Britain’s Helicopter Emergency Services (HEMS) and trauma Drs.
